Novasure has been approved by the FDA for women who experience menorrhagia or heavy menstrual bleeding. It is a safe, minimally invasive in-office procedure that can be performed at any time during your cycle, even during your period. It is designed to help reduce a woman's menstrual bleeding. It does not require any incisions and the actual procedure generally takes less than 5 minutes. Your provider will prescribe medications for you to take prior to your procedure and most women recover from the procedure within 24 to 48 hours and are able to return to their normal activities.
